While it's tempting to only acknowledge the negative aspects of the high-tech, social media driven times we live in, some good has come from it....
Case in point? The death of "gatekeepers".
With the rise of social media, Youtube, self-hosted blogs and podcasts, traditional media has become a thing of the past- an antiquated notion.
No longer do creatives and entrepreneurs have to wait to be "chosen" by a select few. Nope!
With the ability to reach millions (hell ...billions) of people at our fingertips, it is now just a matter of choosing ourselves.
As an antidote to all of the doom -and- gloom messaging, in today's episode, I am sharing a more optimistic and empowering way to look at our times.
Stop letting outdated paradigms- like the notion of "being chosen" - dictate what is possible for you. The digital era has induced a mass extinction among gatekeepers and as a result, there is no one left to choose you. It is now only a matter of choosing yourself!
